Since 2015, Appleton has provided $145,750 in program and discretionary grants to support ministries throughout middle georgia Beyond the Free To Read® Summer Program: the christ church weekend lunch feeding program; path to shine afternoon tutoring programs in Macon, Warner robins, and Perry; The Episcopal/Lutheran Fellowship (ELF) Campus Ministry Program in Macon; st. Paul's diaper ministry with loaves and fishes; the St. Francis Arts Center Afternoon Enrichment Program; Crisis Line/Safe House of central ga; a weekend backpack project in eatonton; a protein food pantry in putnam county; The All Saints Food pantry in warner robins; chard wray food pantry; The Episcopal Campus Ministry at GCSU in Milledgeville; 8 little free libraries and a summer youth choir in Fort Valley; tutoring/mentoring support for the FVSU Canterbury Club in fort valley; Grace House in Fort Valley; a community Garden/Nutrition project in Montezuma; holiday meal supplements; and emergency support for foster families.
Appleton also makes in-kind contributions of supplies and transportation to Book 'em, to two path to shine programs, to eyc programs around the convocation, to Loaves & fishes, and to daybreak.
Appleton makes program and discretionary grants to Episcopal parishes in the Middle GA Convocation after working with parish representatives, Outreach committees and church clergy to help develop appropriate applications. Awards are made Based Upon the potential impact of each application to our convocation and evidence of a sound implementation plan for governance and success.
